Patient Care Tech - IMCU Full Time Nights

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, IL, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: $18.22–$24.60 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, label, and transport specimens and perform 12-lead EKGs, bladder scans, point-of-care testing, and related clinical procedures.
• Assist patients with hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, positioning, and other individualized care needs.
• Perform hourly rounding, document patient care data, respond to call lights, and support the clinical RN and healthcare team.
• Provide continuous visual observation as a Safety Attendant/Telesitter Monitor and promptly report patient needs or environmental hazards.
• Support admissions, incoming calls, advance directive documentation, electronic bed-board management, and EMR downtime readiness.
• Participate in training, performance improvement activities, and processes that support patient, family, and staff safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program with listing on the Illinois CNA Registry, or successful completion of one clinical rotation as a nursing student with written verification.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work full-time third-shift nights in the Lake Forest, Illinois clinical setting.
• Successful completion of a background check is required after an offer.
