Licensed Practical Nurse-Neurology Full Time Days

Location: 259 E. Erie, Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite, day shift

Salary: $29.30–$38.09 per hour

What you will do

• Collect and assess patient information, document chief complaints, histories, needs, observations, and interventions.
• Provide pre-attending care and implement delegated parts of registered nurse or advanced practice nurse care plans.
• Administer delegated vaccines, medications, respiratory and dermatological treatments, phototherapy, and other prescribed procedures.
• Perform LPN-scope procedures including vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, wound care, urinary catheterization, and delegated IV infusion monitoring.
• Evaluate and report patient responses, communicate with healthcare personnel, and support referrals, laboratory work, diagnostic testing, medication ordering, results reporting, and scheduling.
• Assist with urgent and emergent medical situations, patient safety activities, event reporting, and policy and procedure improvements.

Requirements

• Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse licensure is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing is required.
• Healthcare-provider-level CPR recognition from an American Heart Association-accredited provider is required.
• Ability to perform duties within the LPN scope of practice and demonstrated competency for delegated procedures.

Nice to have

• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
