Regulatory Reporting Associate

Location: New York, New York, United States

Base salary: $120,000–$200,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus and benefits.

Global multi-manager hedge fund investing across Quant, Tactical, Fundamental Equity, and Discretionary Macro & Fixed Income strategies through proprietary technology, infrastructure, and risk analytics.

What you will do

• Execute recurring and ad hoc regulatory filings and ownership disclosures for regulators including the SEC, CFTC, FCA, and MAS.
• Design, implement, and monitor data quality rules supporting accurate regulatory filings.
• Document business processes and calculation specifications for regulatory reports.
• Use SQL and Python to aggregate datasets and automate reporting processes.
• Assess available datasets, select appropriate data for filings, and perform ad hoc analysis for partner teams and regulators.
• Work with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, Technology, and external vendors to develop reporting infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or STEM.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience at a buy-side firm, consulting agency, or managed service provider.
• Experience with regulatory reports such as Form PF, CPO-PQR, Annex IV, 13F, 13G, 13H, Form ADV, or MAS surveys.
• Foundational Python skills and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of hedge fund strategies and asset classes including equities, futures, options, FX, bonds, swaps, and credit.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced multi-PM environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Asia and EMEA reporting requirements.
• Software engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence experience.
• Audit, financial reporting, or fund accounting experience.
• Experience using AI in compliance or reporting.
• CPA or CFA qualification.
