Patient Procedure Scheduler-Urology Full Time Days

Location: Primarily Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, Illinois, with work in Glenview on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Onsite schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at Lake Forest; Wednesday and Thursday in Glenview, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Salary: $21.35–$27.76 per hour

What you will do

• Register and schedule patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Maintain calendars and schedules for surgical and pre-operative services.
• Verify insurance information and obtain or facilitate required pre-certifications.
• Explain financial responsibilities, procedure information, and preparation instructions to patients.
• Answer patient inquiries and support check-in/out or patient liaison functions when cross-trained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least two years of previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Ability to work the assigned onsite schedule across Lake Forest and Glenview.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience with an electronic medical records system.
