System Simulation Engineering CO-OP

Location: Virtual Canada; remote work is limited to Canada, with occasional face-to-face meetings in the Vancouver area and occasional attendance at hirify.global sites based on business need.

hirify.global develops integrated circuits, custom silicon solutions, and related hardware and software technologies.

What you will do

• Create executable software models that simulate IP and SoC hardware.
• Enable architectural exploration and pre-silicon firmware development and validation.
• Design, implement, and test simulation models.
• Develop supporting infrastructure and provide customer support.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to solve complex development and debugging challenges.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Have at least 3 months of experience gained through schoolwork, projects, internships, co-op terms, work experience, or military experience.
• Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies.
• Experience with C or C++ programming.
• Strong problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Must live and work in Canada; hirify.global immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Embedded software development experience with ARM, RISC-V, or x86.
• Scripting experience with Python, TCL, or another language.
• General knowledge of embedded systems, digital ASIC design, and software or firmware development and testing methodologies.
