Sterilizing Tech II (Sterile Processing)

Location: 1 Kish Hospital Dr., DeKalb, Illinois, United States. Full-time rotating shift.

Salary: $19.60–$28.42 per hour.

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store instruments, procedure trays, equipment, and supplies.
• Assemble case carts and instrument trays accurately using the instrument tracking system.
• Dispense sterile supplies and trays to operating rooms and other hospital departments.
• Complete sterilization documentation, quality control activities, department reports, and inventory updates.
• Prioritize workload, maintain organized work areas, and support infection control practices.
• Provide timely information and directions to patients and customers while collaborating with hospital departments.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience; 3+ years preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Sterile Processing certification from an accredited body.
