Oncology Occupational Therapist (Rehab Services)

Location: 245 E. Chicago Avenue, Chicago, Illinois, United States; onsite, part-time day shifts with occasional schedule flexibility for patient-care and department needs.

Salary: $39.69–$57.55 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide direct occupational therapy care for oncology patients from initial evaluation through discharge.
• Select appropriate evaluations, treatment modalities, equipment, and protocols; conduct re-evaluations and adjust treatment plans.
• Adapt treatments to individual patient circumstances and provide education suited to each patient’s understanding and motivation.
• Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, daily notes, discharge summaries, and electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, COTAs, therapists, interns, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contribute to committees, student clinical programs, department education, process improvement, and service development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Occupational Therapist license in the state of Illinois required.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Ability to meet clinical productivity, documentation, training, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
• Ability to flex the schedule or assignment when required to meet patient-care and department needs.

Nice to have

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Experience serving as a clinical instructor, mentor, or observation host.
