School-Based Occupational Therapist

Location: On-site in Manhattan, New York

Salary: $75 per hour

hirify.global provides IEP- and IESP-mandated occupational therapy services to students in independent, parochial, charter, and homeschool settings through a New York City DOE contract.

What you will do

• Plan and deliver occupational therapy aligned with each student's IEP or IESP goals.
• Support students' participation in school and daily activities.
• Maintain session notes and complete required documentation and progress reports.
• Communicate with schools, families, and student support teams.
• Attend IEP meetings for assigned students.

Requirements

• NYS license as an Occupational Therapist required.
• Availability to work in Manhattan required.
• Applicants cannot have been employed by the NYC Department of Education within the past year unless special approval is obtained.
• DOE clearance is completed with support during onboarding.

• 1099 contractor arrangement with no minimum caseload or exclusivity.

• Cases are provided with the school, grade, schedule, group size, and hourly rate before acceptance.
• Most sessions take place during the school day, with some after-school and weekend cases.
