Medical Assistant-Neurology (Neurology)

Location: Crystal Lake clinic, 360 Station Dr., Crystal Lake, Illinois, United States. Full-time onsite position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, day shift.

Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour.

What you will do

• Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient flow and outpatient care.
• Escort and prepare patients, obtain vital signs, document visit information, and communicate changes in patient condition.
• Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure setup, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, stock, and maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, and medications.
• Promote patient satisfaction through professional communication and protect patient confidentiality.
• Perform delegated procedures and specialty-specific duties according to established protocols.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification exam.
• American Heart Association-accredited BLS/CPR certification.
• Zero to two years of experience in a relevant role.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and the care team.
• Certification must be attained within six months of employment after up to two test attempts.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
