Focus on performing ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, maintaining medical equipment and supplies, and communicating effectively with the care team.
Location: 1310 N. Main Street, Sandwich, Illinois, United States; onsite, day shift
Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do
- Facilitate patient flow by escorting patients, preparing them for examinations, obtaining vital signs, documenting visit information, and prioritizing tasks.
- Assist physicians and other licensed medical staff with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, procedure trays, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
- Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
- Monitor equipment and inventory, order supplies, dispose of expired items, and follow clinic opening and closing procedures.
- Communicate professionally with patients and the care team while maintaining confidentiality and supporting patient satisfaction.
- Perform delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current certification as a medical assistant, or written proof of eligibility for an approved certification examination.
- American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- Zero to two years of relevant experience.
- Strong computer skills.
- Medical assistant certification must be completed within the first six months of employment, after up to two test attempts, as a condition of employment.
Nice to have
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
