Focus on preparing patients and exam rooms, performing vital-sign checks and specimen collection, assisting with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and maintaining safe, efficient clinic operations.
Location: Huntley Primary Care clinic, 10350 Haligus Rd., Huntley, Illinois, United States. Full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday through Friday with varying hours between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., plus occasional Saturday shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Salary: $19.13–$25.83 per hour

What you will do
- Support physicians, nurses, and licensed medical staff with patient care and administrative functions.
- Prepare patients for examinations, obtain and document vital signs, update medical information, and communicate significant changes to providers.
- Assist with ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, procedure trays, and CLIA-waived testing.
- Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock exam rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
- Maintain efficient patient flow, support patient satisfaction, protect confidentiality, and communicate with patients and the care team.
- Perform specialty-specific delegated procedures and other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current eligible Medical Assistant certification or written proof of eligibility for an AAMA, AMT, NCCT, NHA, or NRCMA certification exam.
- Completion of one approved Medical Assistant certification within the first six months of employment, after up to two test attempts, is a condition of employment.
- American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the Huntley Primary Care clinic according to the stated weekday and occasional Saturday schedule.
Nice to have
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records.
