What you will do
- Manage daily operations, workflows, staffing, resources, budgets, and performance across designated inpatient psychiatry services.
- Supervise and support team members through coaching, performance reviews, competency development, and resolution of complex practice and customer-relations issues.
- Set department goals, track progress, communicate risks, and coordinate decisions with leadership teams.
- Maintain and improve policies and processes to meet Joint Commission and federal, state, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate patient-care escalations by assessing age-specific needs and connecting patients with appropriate resources.
- Use data analysis, change management, and technology to reduce process variation and improve care quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing with a master’s degree, or a master’s degree in nursing. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree who are within one year of completing a master’s program may be considered.
- At least three years of nursing or healthcare experience with increasing responsibilities.
- Current clinical license in the state where the hospital is located and Basic Life Support certification.
- Magnet-recognized certification for the relevant specialty area.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, regulatory requirements, budgeting, data-driven decision-making, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and EMR systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, confidentiality, and leadership skills.

- At least three years of supervisory or management experience.
