Senior C++ Software Engineer (Qt)

What you will do

• Extend the C++/Qt 6 client from Windows to Linux and macOS.
• Build, package, and test the application across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Validate configuration-driven update checks against the Apache-based server component.
• Adapt the lightweight UI for consistent cross-platform behavior.
• Develop the update security concept using SSL and hash-checksum validation.
• Connect builds and releases to CGM CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and JFrog, while documenting setup steps and known issues.

Requirements

• Production experience with C++ and Qt 6 in client applications.
• Practical experience building and packaging desktop applications for Linux and/or macOS.
• Knowledge of TLS/SSL and checksum-based integrity checks in client-server update flows.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and JFrog Artifactory, or the ability to learn them quickly.
• Ability to work with an Apache-based server component and take ownership after a structured handover.
• Strong self-organization, proactive communication, and an adaptable approach to evolving security architecture.
