Senior .NET Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Ukraine; fully remote

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, reliable services and ASP.NET applications with C#/.NET.
• Build APIs and backend components for customer-facing financial products.
• Design and operate distributed messaging, event streaming, and event-sourcing solutions using Pulsar, Kafka, or similar technologies.
• Develop data solutions with MongoDB and implement telemetry, monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and observability practices.
• Implement financial calculations, pricing engines, or quantitative models where required.
• Own technical deliverables from architecture and implementation through deployment, production support, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience with a strong systems engineering focus.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET, with experience building APIs and backend services.
• Experience with distributed messaging, event-driven architectures, event sourcing, and event streaming at scale.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, and observability tools such as Sentry, Datadog, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with financial calculations, pricing engines, or quantitative models.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with both Pulsar and Kafka, high-throughput distributed systems, and MongoDB at scale.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience across frontend or UI layers, mentoring engineers, and driving technical initiatives.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
