Senior Backend Golang Engineer (Golang)

Location: Remote, based in Ternopil, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Golang backend services, RESTful APIs, and stable data contracts.
• Build asynchronous, event-driven communication with reliable messaging, idempotency, error handling, and backward compatibility.
• Develop distributed systems and microservices focused on scalability, resilience, maintainability, and production performance.
• Design secure APIs and integrations with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, ServiceNow, and Genesys Cloud.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision-making, code reviews, and engineering knowledge sharing.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for APIs, business logic, and integrations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong professional experience with Golang backend applications and services, including concurrency and asynchronous workflows.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with AWS, cloud-native architectures, microservices, distributed systems, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of API design, event schemas, authentication, authorization, secure API development, and automated testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, or Protobuf.
• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or other monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience with Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or similar identity and access management solutions.
