Engineering Functional Lead - Innovation

What you will do

• Define early-stage technical strategy, architecture, and feasibility for new product concepts from ideation through launch.
• Translate ambiguous product ideas and market intent into practical technical approaches and execution strategies.
• Lead feasibility assessments, identify technical risks and dependencies, and evaluate concept-test outcomes.
• Develop technical cost models covering build cost, operating cost, and product unit economics.
• Support prototypes, technical interfaces, and lightweight implementations used to validate product concepts.
• Coordinate with enterprise architecture, security, external development partners, fintechs, and multidisciplinary Functional Leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of experience leading technical design and architecture for complex greenfield products.
• Experience delivering cloud-based or enterprise-grade B2B solutions and working with modern application architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud-native systems, APIs, SaaS platforms, AI/ML, and Generative AI where applicable.
• Experience estimating complex projects, assessing risks and trade-offs, and developing technology investment or unit-economics models.
• Experience with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe, plus strong communication skills for non-technical and senior audiences.
