KTP Associate (Brick Decarbonisation)

Location: Primarily based at Michelmersh’s Freshfield Lane site near Haywards Heath, Sussex, with periods at the hirify.global in Oxford Road. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered.

hirify.global and Michelmersh Brick UK Ltd. are delivering a Knowledge Transfer Partnership project focused on decarbonising clay brick manufacturing.

What you will do

• Coordinate activity across manufacturing operations, technical teams, academic researchers, and external partners.
• Develop and validate a sustainable bio-based alternative to fossil-derived body fuel for premium clamp-fired products.
• Plan and lead manufacturing trials in a live production environment.
• Translate research findings into practical solutions that can be implemented at scale.
• Maintain product quality, process stability, and supply resilience throughout the project.
• Support collaboration and specialist research activities during periods at the hirify.global.

Requirements

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional industrial, technical, academic, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and lead trials in a manufacturing environment.
• Interest in sustainable manufacturing, decarbonisation, and innovation delivery.
• Applicants who have already completed a KTP are not eligible.
• Availability to work primarily at the Freshfield Lane site near Haywards Heath and spend periods in Manchester, including approximately three laboratory trips of two to three months.
