Staff Frontend Engineer (React)

What you will do

• Lead the migration from Svelte to React while maintaining architectural coherence and supporting product delivery.
• Maintain and evolve the design system with the frontend guild to improve consistency, accessibility, and delivery speed.
• Guide cross-team initiatives covering application architecture, performance, testing, developer experience, and technical debt.
• Raise UX and UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring, and technical writing.
• Identify effective agentic AI workflows and shape module boundaries, API contracts, and documentation for human-and-agent collaboration.
• Lead systemic frontend improvements from diagnosis through measurable delivery and help Senior Engineers grow.

Requirements

• Staff-level experience delivering systemic frontend or product-engineering improvements across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, Svelte, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainable application architecture.
• Daily use of AI coding tools and practical experience with agentic workflows.
• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate ambiguous workflows and business constraints into effective user experiences.
• Ability to reason across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security, and compliance.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, Nest.js, MySQL, Kubernetes on AWS, GitHub, FusionAuth, Okta, Retool, Twilio, SendGrid, or Tally.
