Lead Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Minsk, Tbilisi, Warsaw, or Chișinău. Remote B2B work is available in Georgia–Moldova; onsite employment is available in Belarus–Moldova.

Develops a cloud communications product with web applications, administration and supervisor consoles, call queue tools, a dialer, and shared UI platform packages.

What you will do

• Set the technical direction for the team’s applications and shared UI platform.
• Lead a team of three mid-level engineers, one senior engineer, and two QA engineers.
• Own frontend delivery to production across ten production pods using CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, service-worker entrypoints, and a versioned CDN.
• Maintain the application template used as the starting point for new applications.
• Set code review standards, manage technical debt, and maintain the quality bar.
• Run the team’s Scrum process and represent frontend in architecture discussions with backend, platform, and product leads.

Requirements

• Experience leading and developing a small distributed frontend team.
• Strong React experience, including work with legacy and greenfield code during an Angular migration.
• Experience owning frontend production delivery, including builds, caching, CDN configuration, releases, and production incident handling.
• Daily experience with AI-assisted development and agentic tooling.
• Confidence running Scrum for a team.
• English at B1 level or above; Russian is used within the team and English with products and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with micro-frontends.
• AWS experience with CloudFront, Lambda@Edge, S3, and CloudWatch.
