Staff Frontend Engineer (React)

What you will do

• Lead the migration from Svelte to React while maintaining the architectural direction and aligning the work with product delivery.
• Maintain and evolve the design system with the frontend guild to enable consistent and accessible UI delivery.
• Guide cross-team initiatives involving application architecture, performance, testing, developer experience, and technical debt.
• Raise UX and UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring, and technical writing.
• Identify effective agentic AI use cases and shape module boundaries, API contracts, and documentation for AI-assisted development.
• Lead a systemic frontend improvement from kickoff to measurable progress and help Senior Engineers grow through collaboration and reviews.

Requirements

• Staff-level experience delivering systemic frontend or product-engineering improvements across multiple teams.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainable application architecture.
• Daily use of AI coding tools, including agentic workflows, with a clear understanding of their effective application.
• Ability to translate ambiguous workflows and business constraints into pragmatic product experiences.
• Experience reasoning across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security, and compliance.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

• Experience with Node, Nest, MySQL, Kubernetes, AWS, GitHub, FusionAuth, Okta, Retool, Twilio, SendGrid, or Tally.
