Senior Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

Location: Remote in France; mainly working in France with travel to other locations. Responsibilities also cover South Africa and the UAE.

What you will do

• Lead and scale a team of Forward Deployed Engineers and AI Engineers.
• Drive regional performance, team growth, hiring, billable utilization, delivery excellence, and customer success.
• Partner with Account Executives, Engagement Managers, and Field Engineering leaders on enterprise programs involving data migrations, AI/ML platforms, and advanced analytics.
• Establish delivery governance, project oversight, risk management, and quality standards for the FDE and AI Engineering practice.
• Serve as the executive escalation point for critical customer situations and resolve complex delivery issues.
• Mentor technical talent through career pathways, technical coaching, and continuous development.

Requirements

• Experience managing high-performing technical delivery teams, solution architects, or professional services organizations.
• Hands-on experience as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer.
• Experience leading large-scale data platform migrations and AI/ML programs in enterprise environments.
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder management skills, including C-suite engagement.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, MLflow, Delta Lake, or the modern data and AI ecosystem.
• Willingness to travel to locations beyond France, with responsibilities involving France, South Africa, and the UAE.
