Workers Compensation Return to Work Associate Claim Representative

Location: MN - St. Paul, United States; the role includes onsite file reviews.

Annual base salary: $52,600.00 - $86,800.00, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Complete structured virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training in insurance policies, claims processes, systems, and procedures.
• Assist with reviewing, investigating, documenting, and evaluating workers compensation claims under close supervision.
• Assess coverage, compensability, exposure, claim resolution plans, and potential fraud.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and other third parties.
• Communicate claim status to business customers, injured employees, medical providers, and legal counsel while maintaining accurate claim records.
• Coordinate medical treatment and return-to-work outcomes when appropriate, while developing knowledge of AI and digital transformation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and previous customer service or insurance experience are preferred qualifications.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an active adjuster or insurance license within three months when required by state law or company requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn claims management systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, judgment, organization, attention to detail, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and continue learning.
