Intern, Software Development (AI/.NET)

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada; candidates must be located in Ottawa and able to work hybrid. No relocation.

Salary: CAD 23–28 per hour.

What you will do

• Collaborate with senior developers and the development team on hirify.global Identity as a Service.
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET Core and C#.
• Contribute to AI development initiatives and integrate AI-driven features into applications.
• Use GitHub Copilot and modern development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related program.
• 4th-year student preferred; 3rd-year students with relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience with React, .NET Core, C#, AI development concepts and frameworks, GitHub, and version control.
• Located in Ottawa and able to work in a hybrid arrangement.
• Proficient verbal and written communication, with strong attention to detail, time management, and planning skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
• Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
• Experience with tools for managing, building, and testing code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
