GIS Technician II (Onsite)

Location: Shafter, California, United States; onsite office and field work in orchards

Salary: $30–$40 per hour, with a possible discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Maintain spatial databases and create data for crop usage, acreage, plantings, and ranch infrastructure.
• Create maps for field trials, projects, operational planning, and internal teams.
• Conduct spatial analysis in ArcGIS and help interpret results related to crop production and land use.
• Collect and quality-control field data using GPS equipment and mobile applications.
• Coordinate with farming and operations teams to gather data and provide map-based insights.
• Create user-friendly GIS dashboards and visualizations and support special GIS and operations projects.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree, completed or in progress, or equivalent experience in Geography, Environmental Science, Agriculture, GIS, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a technical geospatial role.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Desktop and other Esri tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or a similar software suite.
• Comfort working in both an office and orchard environment, including walking on uneven terrain and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid California driver's license required.
