Underwriter, Group A&H

Location: London; team members are expected to be primarily in the office.

What you will do

• Manage Group Personal Accident and Travel accounts for key clients and brokers.
• Underwrite new and renewal business within delegated authority and underwriting standards.
• Prepare and process renewal and new business quotations, endorsements, queries, and servicing requirements.
• Build broker and market relationships to generate new business opportunities.
• Use underwriting systems to maintain accurate account and information-tracking data.
• Support product and service development, reporting, projects, and regulatory risk management activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience writing and managing Group Personal Accident and Travel accounts.
• Good understanding of Group Accident & Health insurance and its interaction with other business lines.
• Strong commercial, analytical, organisational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Customer- and sales-focused understanding of the London and A&H market.
• Working towards or holding CII accreditation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and make sound risk-based decisions.
