Software Engineer II (Java)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; onsite at least 2 days per week, with additional attendance during peak spike weeks

What you will do

• Engineer moderate to complex features for the platform and products using agile methodologies.
• Design and prototype solutions from high-level problem statements with substantial independence.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve complicated technical issues.
• Troubleshoot system failures in production, pre-production, and non-production environments.
• Apply AI and data-driven insights to improve productivity, innovation, and engineering outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with core Java.
• Strong object-oriented design skills.
• Passion for code quality and ability to work collaboratively in an agile product development environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Dublin at least 2 days per week, with flexibility for more frequent attendance during peak spike weeks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin, Python, or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD and tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity, JUnit, Karate, TestCafe, JaCoCo, or SonarQube.
• Experience with Scrum, TDD, pair programming, SOAP, REST, or cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI and data-driven insights in a professional role.
