Automation Engineer – NSX

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performing network infrastructure automation.
• Develop infrastructure automation with Python, APIs, scripting, and orchestration tools.
• Build reusable workflows for provisioning, configuration validation, monitoring, and operational support.
• Integrate network platforms through REST APIs, data models, and automated pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile squad and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Improve infrastructure, documentation, and Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in VMware NSX and broad knowledge of LAN, WAN, and datacenter environments.
• Experience with routing and switching protocols in high-availability setups, plus an understanding of infrastructure security and risk principles.
• Strong Python experience for automation, tooling, data processing, and operational scripts.
• Practical experience with REST APIs, JSON, YAML, authentication methods, and API-driven integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, Git workflows, automated testing, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, independent ownership, collaboration, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Nice to have

• VMware NSX certification.
• Experience with firewalls and Open Networking platforms.
• Experience with Bash, PowerShell, Java, JavaScript, or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, SaltStack, Chef, Puppet, Azure Automation, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or AWS CloudFormation.
• Willingness to coach and support the development of others.
