Manager Business Control

Location: Apeldoorn, Netherlands; hybrid with 2–3 office days per week and occasional travel to local markets

What you will do

• Lead the Markets (Commercial) business control area as a business partner to the CCO.
• Lead the global business control team and help shift the function from explaining results to driving them.
• Professionalise local business control in line with the future Finance target operating model.
• Deliver financial insights and identify improvement opportunities across the business.
• Advise the Management Board, Managing Directors, Finance Directors, and Business Area Directors.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing cycles.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a senior business controller, including people management.
• Experience in a large organisation of 1,500+ employees, preferably an international corporate.
• Master’s degree in Finance or Economics.
• Strong business acumen and the ability to connect financial results with operational performance.
• Proven business partnering experience with senior operational and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, strategic, data analytics, and ERP skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly.

Nice to have

• RA/RC or another post-master controller qualification.
• Experience with commercial dynamics, sales, and pricing strategy.
• Experience improving a finance or business control operating model.
