Risk Model Expert (Insurance)

Location: The Hague, Netherlands; hybrid working. Candidates must currently live in the Netherlands.

Salary: €5,933–€9,449 per month based on a 40-hour contract, depending on knowledge and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and improve NN Group’s internal risk model using advanced modelling techniques.
• Model credit, equity, longevity, persistency, and other risks relevant to the insurance business.
• Operate as an internal risk consultant within the PIM Coordination Team, aligning models with the risk profile and business needs.
• Support the implementation and further use of the internal model.
• Apply expertise to other internal-model applications and the standard formula where relevant.

Requirements

• Currently living in the Netherlands.
• Master’s degree in econometrics, actuarial science, quantitative finance, or a relevant technical field.
• At least five years of proven experience in risk modelling, preferably developing financial or market risk models.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with a good understanding of Solvency II and insurance internal models.
• Modelling skills and experience with data management.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to senior management and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Experience with programming and/or AI.
