Senior AQA Engineer (iGaming)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid and remote work arrangements available

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for backend services and APIs.
• Build smoke, regression, integration, contract, and non-functional test suites for microservices and platform components.
• Develop and execute performance, load, stress, and stability tests, analyze results, and drive remediation.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and gating flows while improving test reliability and reducing flakiness.
• Collaborate with developers, SREs, and product teams to reproduce, triage, and resolve issues and improve observability.
• Define test data and environment strategies, participate in releases and planning, and mentor QA peers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation, preferably in iGaming or another real-time, transactional domain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience with backend and API automation frameworks such as pytest, Postman/Newman, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript and experience testing RESTful APIs, contract schemas, and end-to-end integrations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, service virtualization or mocking, containerized test environments, and performance tools such as k6, JMeter, or Locust.
• Fluent English, strong testing methodology knowledge, and experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or New Relic.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and orchestration.
