Material/Receiving Associate

What you will do

• Receive, unload, unpack, verify, label, and process incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
• Put away, pick, stage, transfer, replenish, and deliver materials to production while maintaining accurate inventory transactions.
• Support production work centers with material requests, Kanban activities, and movement of raw materials, components, subassemblies, work-in-process, and finished goods.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and physical inventory activities; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain inventory locations, quantities, lot and serial number traceability, and system records.
• Cross-train across Receiving, Inventory, and Production Support according to operational priorities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Entry-level to 2 years of experience in materials, receiving, inventory control, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or production support.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn ERP, inventory management, and handheld scanning systems.
• Ability to verify part numbers, quantities, labels, inventory locations, and other material-identification information accurately.
• Ability to follow receiving, inventory, material-handling, safety, and traceability procedures.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs and perform extended standing, walking, bending, and repetitive material-handling activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, electronics, or another regulated production environment.
• Experience with ERP, warehouse management, inventory management, or barcode/RF scanning systems.
• Experience handling serialized, lot-controlled, or traceability-controlled materials.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, or similar equipment.
