Test Technician II (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Test switched-mode power supplies using electronic loads, variacs, AC/DC sources, digital multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform automated test equipment testing and assist with basic SMPS board power-up and debugging.
• Conduct EMI and immunity tests, including surge, ESD, EFT, and ringwave testing.
• Prepare units and perform thermal evaluations of SMPS designs.
• Prepare test equipment and bench setups for engineering activities.
• Write technical reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

• 0–5 years of experience testing electronic circuits in an analog design environment.
• Associate’s degree or technical course in Electronics for applicants with more than two years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics for applicants with less than two years of experience.
• Knowledge of electronic and electrical schematic symbols and the ability to read schematic diagrams.
• Knowledge of different electronic component types and packages.
• Knowledge of SMPS theory and operation is an advantage; electronics hobbyist experience is also advantageous.
