Firewall Engineer (Fortinet)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and deploy firewall solutions, primarily using Fortinet technologies.
• Lead or support end-to-end firewall projects, including new installations and architecture design.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize firewall policies according to security best practices.
• Conduct firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors on security enhancements and infrastructure upgrades.
• Troubleshoot network security issues and support change management, documentation, and operational handover.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on firewall technologies.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Experience delivering firewall deployment projects in enterprise environments.
• Fortinet certification at NSE4 level or above is required.
• Knowledge of VPNs, NAT, IPS, threat prevention, and network security principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills; banking or financial services experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with banking-sector regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Exposure to network architecture design and security frameworks.
