Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Node.js)

What you will do

• Write, test, debug, and troubleshoot scalable, maintainable backend code.
• Lead technical discussions and propose solutions that improve team performance and support company objectives.
• Lead medium-sized projects or software components from start to finish.
• Analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Share engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend development.
• Experience with Node.js, microservices, Docker, and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, TypeScript, GraphQL, WebSockets, Pub/Sub, PostgreSQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong understanding of code architecture, design principles, problem-solving, and technical communication.
• Ability and interest to grow as a full-stack engineer.

Nice to have

• Experience with Svelte and SvelteKit or server-side rendering frameworks such as React with Next.js, Vue with Nuxt, or Quasar.
• Proficiency in JavaScript fundamentals and Storybook.
