Software Engineer - Enterprise Systems Intern (Summer 2027) (Satellite Telemetry)

What you will do

• Design and build monitoring rules and anomaly detection capabilities for satellite telemetry data.
• Develop data pipelines that ingest, store, and query real-time telemetry from the satellite fleet.
• Build client libraries, query interfaces, and APIs for the data platform.
• Collaborate with mission operations and engineering teams to define monitoring requirements and data needs.
• Contribute to commercial and U.S. government space programs.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with databases such as Postgres and time-series databases.
• Experience with API design, including REST, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with time-series data or telemetry systems.
• Experience with asynchronous Python programming.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
