  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects from concept through production.
  • Expert-level Python proficiency, including best practices, performance optimization, and robust APIs or SDKs for external users.
  • Strong foundation in 3D graphics, computational geometry, and/or real-time simulation concepts.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching mid-level and senior engineers, raising technical standards, and improving code quality within a team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with C++ for performance-critical components or integration with simulation engines.
  • Experience developing or extending a domain-specific language or high-level scripting language.
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal, or other professional simulation software.
  • Experience with data visualization techniques for large and complex datasets.
  • Knowledge of autonomous vehicle technology architecture, including perception, planning, and controls, or other complex robotics and safety-critical systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote work within Canada, with no regular requirement to report to a GM worksite unless directed by the manager.
  • Paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and supplemental pregnancy, parental, and adoption leave benefits.
  • Healthcare, dental, vision, healthcare spending account, wellness incentive, and life insurance benefits.
