Data Architect (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid model with 3 days working from home and 2 days in the office

Salary: Gross annual salary starting from €75,000, depending on profile and experience

What you will do

• Support Digital Foundation projects with a focus on data architecture within the Data Intelligence Platform ecosystem.
• Design and maintain conceptual and logical data models reflecting business meaning and domain semantics.
• Clarify and harmonize business semantics, business objects, and relationships across data domains.
• Operate and develop the Enterprise Data Catalog as the central place for data models and business definitions.
• Contribute to the Data Hub architecture and ensure semantic consistency and architectural alignment.
• Collaborate with domain experts, data stewards, and technical teams on requirements, impact analysis, and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of conceptual and logical business data modeling.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data requirements and explain complex topics clearly to different stakeholders.
• Interest in business semantics, terminology, and domain concepts.
• Basic understanding of modern data platforms and data architectures.
• Experience in project environments and cross-functional collaboration.
• Analytical, structured, quality-oriented, independent, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Experience with physical data modeling.
• Familiarity with data governance, data lineage, and metadata management.
• Experience with enterprise data catalogs.
