Senior Litigation Counsel (Insurtech)

What you will do

• Manage employment-related pre-litigation disputes, active cases, mediations, arbitrations, and appeals.
• Direct outside counsel and ensure strategic, cost-effective representation.
• Develop litigation and dispute-resolution strategies to reduce risk and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Advise Human Resources and business leaders on hiring, employee relations, performance management, discipline, terminations, accommodations, and compliance.
• Draft, review, and update employment policies, handbooks, and training materials.
• Monitor employment-law developments and industry trends affecting the business.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of employment litigation experience, preferably across law-firm and in-house environments.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing in Texas.
• Deep knowledge of Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and applicable state laws.
• Experience with state and federal court litigation, alternative dispute resolution, complex matters, budgeting, and workload prioritization.
• Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, collaboration, and process-improvement skills.
