Data Scientist Intern (Algorithmic Trading)

What you will do

• Investigate and analyze large volumes of vendor, quantitative, and textual data.
• Normalize and validate data used in research, automated trading, and risk management.
• Extract features and insights from complex datasets.
• Apply rigorous quality checks and investigate methodologies for improving data quality.
• Complete independent data projects in Python using open-source libraries such as pandas and polars.
• Learn about trading and research infrastructure through technical project work and mentorship.

Requirements

• Full-time student pursuing a STEM degree; a computer science background is not required.
• Programming experience with Python at the level of “Python for Data Analysis” by Wes McKinney.
• Curiosity about working with data and finding insights.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
