Lead UniData Software Support Engineer (UniData)

Location: Fully remote, based anywhere in the United States

Salary: $6,805.95–$11,921.25; the posting states that displayed ranges are monthly for salaried roles or hourly for other roles.

What you will do

• Support and maintain Trilogie, hirify.global’s custom UniData-based ERP platform.
• Monitor system health and investigate complex application issues, production incidents, data problems, integrations, and performance issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution across software engineering, quality assurance, business analysis, support, and business teams.
• Provide technical and functional guidance to support teams and business users.
• Review code changes for production impact and supportability, document resolutions, and improve monitoring and support processes.
• Participate in a rotating after-hours support schedule for critical production incidents and mentor team members.

Requirements

• Extensive experience supporting applications built on UniData, UniBasic, or other Pick-based technologies.
• Strong experience resolving complex application and production support issues in enterprise environments.
• Experience with APIs, web services, Oracle or SQL Server databases, and multi-server environments.
• Knowledge of UniData file structures, dictionaries, triggers, and multi-level files.
• Ability to analyze application behavior, troubleshoot code, perform root cause analysis, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with structured change management and support processes.

Nice to have

• UniData administration experience and ability to write complex UniQuery statements.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP systems and application monitoring practices.
• Experience in ITIL-driven support environments, quality assurance, testing, Excel, or data analysis.
