What you will do
- Maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including procedures, work instructions, specifications, records, calibration controls, supplier information, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
- Plan, perform, and support internal, customer, supplier, external, and certification audits.
- Manage QMS document control and coordinate corrective and preventive actions through effective closure.
- Support supplier quality activities, including supplier audits, heat treatment audits, casting supplier reviews, and supplier corrective action requests.
- Analyze quality data, audit results, non-conformance trends, supplier performance, and process metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support cross-functional process improvements, failure investigations, root cause analysis, and process control improvements with laboratory, production, engineering, and purchasing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering, quality systems, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and QMS processes.
- Experience with audits, supplier quality management, corrective actions, supplier performance monitoring, and quality data analysis.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, follow-up, statistical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
Nice to have
- ISO 9001 internal auditor or lead auditor training.
- Experience with ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 management systems.
- SAP or similar ERP system experience.
- Experience in steel foundry, steel fabrication, machining, welding, heat treatment, or heavy equipment components.
