Resident Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States. The role requires on-site supplier deployments and 20–30% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Deploy to supplier sites as a dedicated quality escalation resource after critical technical, quality, or delivery disruptions.
• Lead containment activities to protect customers, prevent defect escapes, and maintain production continuity.
• Develop supplier recovery plans with actions, milestones, accountability, and executive reporting.
• Conduct root cause analysis, process audits, and manufacturing reviews to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Define, implement, and validate corrective and preventive actions addressing immediate issues and systemic weaknesses.
• Partner with supplier engineering and operations teams to improve process capability, product quality, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement expertise, including Kaizen, supplier recovery, and critical manufacturing process reviews.
• Extensive experience with quality methodologies and manufacturing management.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly on turbine hot gas parts.
• Ability to travel 20–30% domestically and internationally.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
