Assistant Director (Robotics Education)

Location: Main Campus, College Station, Texas, United States. Some travel is required. Employment requires authorization to work in the United States and completion of Form I-9.

What you will do

• Support the operation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of HAND Engineering Workforce Development programs.
• Assist with undergraduate, graduate, community college, and K-12 curriculum development, including DexKit research and dexterous robotics education.
• Coordinate Research Experiences for Undergraduates and Research Experiences for Teachers programs, mentorship activities, and outreach.
• Help define strategic plans, operational procedures, partnerships, and external communications.
• Provide leadership and supervision for graduate assistants or EWD sub-units and represent the department on committees.
• Monitor compliance, prepare reports and analyses, draft IRB documents, and support project budgeting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six years of related experience.
• Experience or knowledge in program planning, implementation, evaluation, teaching, facilitation, adult learning, and pedagogical practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate with varied stakeholders, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, social media, marketing, and artificial intelligence tools.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification.

Nice to have

• Master’s or doctoral degree.
• More than six years of related experience in engineering education, STEM education, workforce development, external partnerships, or higher-education teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary programs.
