Program Coordinator I (Talent Search)

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States; onsite position. The role may require up to 50% or more travel to target counties and work beyond normal office hours or on weekends.

What you will do

• Identify, recruit, advise, and serve a caseload of Talent Search participants.
• Create individualized educational plans and provide academic, college, career, and financial aid guidance.
• Deliver academic support, enrichment activities, workshops, seminars, and classes.
• Coordinate recruitment events, Saturday Academy, the Summer Component, tutoring, and other special programming.
• Maintain participant records, monitor academic progress, and oversee data collection and entry.
• Ensure program services and documentation comply with federal grant and university requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of professional experience in a TRIO federal program or a similar program supporting veterans, including case management and advising on college admissions and financial aid applications.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multitask collaboratively.
• Export-control authorization is required before employment begins.
• The position is security sensitive and requires a criminal history investigation and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and university policies.
