Embedded Firmware and Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Salary: $105,050–$161,800 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for US candidates.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and debug embedded firmware, including DSP, embedded code, EFI drivers, EFI applications, and BIOS/UEFI.
• Integrate firmware and software with hardware components in collaboration with hardware engineers and architects.
• Analyze product architecture and define coding, programming, integration, and firmware development activities.
• Create and execute testing plans, protocols, technical documentation, and solutions for code issues.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with internal and outsourced development partners.
• Communicate firmware status, project progress, requirements, and issue resolution across engineering, quality assurance, software, and product teams.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• 4–6 years of experience in firmware development or a related field; an advanced degree with 3–5 years of experience may be considered.
• Experience with C, C++, Python, embedded software, embedded systems, firmware development, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
• Knowledge of algorithms, debugging, operating systems, software engineering, Git, Agile methodology, and new product development.
• Strong communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.
