Medical Director – Maternal-Fetal Medicine (OB/GYN) – Evicore - Remote

Location: United States Work at Home; 100% remote

Salary: $207,800–$346,300 USD annually, depending on experience and geographic location. The role may also qualify for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete time-sensitive, evidence-based medical necessity reviews using EviCore’s case management software.
• Conduct peer-to-peer consultation calls with referring physicians about the appropriateness of requested services and treatments.
• Apply clinical expertise to recommend alternative services or treatment options when appropriate.
• Collaborate with more than 500 EviCore physician colleagues to support evidence-based patient care decisions.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare regulations, applicable laws, and industry developments.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. with a current, active U.S. medical license and board certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine through ABMS or AOA.
• Eligibility to acquire additional state licenses as required.
• At least three years of relevant clinical experience after residency or fellowship.
• Ability to work a set Monday-through-Friday schedule.
• Strong computer, typing, communication, and clinical judgment skills, with the ability to work independently using automated systems and applications.
• An encrypted company workstation must be hard-wire connected to a modem or router; wireless connections are not permitted. Home internet must use cable broadband or fiber with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds.

• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, URAC standards, and NCQA standards.
