Chief Medical Officer (CMO) - Michigan HIDE

Location: Remote Michigan, United States; 20% travel within Michigan and occasional travel to hirify.global offices, including the corporate office in Kentucky, may be required.

Salary: $327,700–$450,600 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus incentive.

What you will do

• Lead regional clinical strategy and oversee Health Services Operations with responsibility for medical trend management.
• Oversee utilization management and case management for inpatient, long-term services and supports, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and home health services.
• Chair the Quality Management Committee, conduct initial peer reviews, and manage written and verbal peer-to-peer communications.
• Direct quality improvement and HEDIS/STARS metric initiatives with primary care practices and independent physician associations.
• Develop regional clinical programs and market-level strategies while managing operational relationships related to profitability.
• Support network development, provider contracting, facility relationships, clinical service contract reviews, and regional medical necessity committees.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree and board certification in an approved ABMS medical specialty.
• Current unrestricted medical license in at least one jurisdiction and willingness to obtain additional licenses required for the assigned region.
• At least 8 years of management experience and 5 years of established clinical experience.
• Knowledge of managed care, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial products.
• Experience leading teams in quality management, utilization management, discharge planning, home health, or rehabilitation.
• Strong communication, analytical, interpretation, and matrix-environment collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Medical management experience with health insurance organizations, hospitals, healthcare providers, or patients.
• Clinical specialization in internal medicine, family practice, geriatrics, hospitalist medicine, emergency medicine, or physical medicine and rehabilitation.
• Master's degree.
