Security Automation Engineer (SOAR)

What you will do

• Build and adapt foundational Python scripts for API integrations and automated actions in customer SOAR environments.
• Discover customer security operations needs and design tailored automation workflows, playbooks, and blocks.
• Design, build, troubleshoot, and maintain Google SecOps SOAR automation assets.
• Manage reusable scripts and playbook repositories with Git and GitHub.
• Serve as the technical point of contact during client engagements and deliver hands-on enablement training.
• Improve security operations by automating bottlenecks and reducing mean-time-to-detection and response.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in security engineering or security operations.
• Foundational Python scripting skills and experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Experience with GitHub, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with customers and translate operational needs into automation and training.
• Must be based in the United States for the US Remote role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google SecOps SOAR, formerly Siemplify, or another major SOAR platform.
• Experience with AI-enhanced security tools and GCP-native technologies.
