Shipping Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Dubuque, Iowa, United States; onsite at headquarters

What you will do

• Coordinate transportation for product deliveries by reviewing shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, shipment priorities, and required shipping methods.
• Review carrier routings, shipment dimensions, weights, and consolidation opportunities between operating companies.
• Serve as the primary contact for carriers, internal customer service representatives, and external customers regarding product delivery.
• Manage waiting-to-ship inventory, shipping releases, bills of lading, shipment notifications, and customer-selected third-party logistics documentation.
• Use JDE and Microsoft Office for shipping transactions, reports, sales order reviews, and shipment confirmations.
• Plan, assign, and direct the work of 8–10 shipping employees, including loading, order recording, posting, and dock sweeps.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education and experience, with three to five years of related experience or training.
• General knowledge of manufacturing procedures, material identities, part relationships, and production department functions.
• Experience or ability to work with JDE, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and shipping documentation.
• Understanding of USMC and international compliance regulations and export documentation.
• Ability to interpret procedures, prepare routine reports, communicate effectively, and solve standardized operational problems.
• Ability to work onsite in Dubuque, Iowa, United States.
