What you will do
- Maintain the master production schedule based on forecasts and customer requirements.
- Manage finished goods inventory and set appropriate stock levels.
- Schedule production using customer orders, historical data, forecasts, and business requirements.
- Create, monitor, and update purchase orders to support production plans.
- Coordinate with Sales, manufacturing sites, and suppliers to ensure material availability and delivery commitments.
- Optimize supply chain, order consolidation, and logistics while improving service and reducing inventory investment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college.
- At least 10 years of related experience and 3+ years of production scheduling or planning experience.
- Experience with production and material planning and MRP.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Windows skills.
- Experience with integrated manufacturing software systems; QAD or similar ERP experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; CPIM certification is preferred.
